Developing Resilience in Yourself and Others

Resilience is the muscle that helps us get back up again when we fall down, that helps us find opportunity in adversity, that gives us the courage to take risks and try things we may not be “ready” for, and that reminds us there are better days coming when our current days don’t feel so great.

There’s no overnight trick to building resilience. But over the years, we’ve learned there are things we can do to develop resilience both in ourselves and in those we lead. It starts with looking at the lessons of the past and using them to guide our present.

In this guide, we will walk you through the exercises we do at Student Maid, including the "Resilience Resume," and share the ways we encourage each other to learn from our mistakes. We hope you will use these exercises to change your perspective and find opportunities for growth.

You will see that there is not a price for this guide. We believe in a “pay-what-you-can” model, and want you to feel no obligation to pay if you do not have the resources. The amounts raised will help us produce more content to fuel our mission of helping people grow into the humans and leaders they want to be!
